Prof. Dr. Ir. Meit Suradji Sinaga, M.Sc is one of the professors of the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture - IPB University. He has expertise in Phytopathology, especially Plant Mycology. He was born in Bandung on November 25, 1950, during his tenure he held strategic positions including Secretary of the Department of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture - IPB (1987-1995); Chairman of the Postgraduate School Ento-Fito Study Program - IPB (1999-2004); Head of the Plant Disease Division of the Plant Protection Department (2004-2020); Chairman of Commission C Senate of the Faculty of Agriculture IPB (2011-2020); Secretary of Commission C of the IPB Board of Professors (2007-2008); Chairman of Commission A of the IPB Board of Professors (2008-2010); National Assessor of BAN-PT (2008-2020). During his career Prof. Meity has produced two books that have become a reference for academics, especially in the field of cultivating Straw Mushrooms, his books are Mushroom and Its cultivation (1990, Penebar Swadaya) and Cultivation of Straw Mushrooms (2011, Penebar Swadaya). besides that there is one book that is a reference for plant disease, namely Basics of Plant Disease Science (2003, Penebar Swadaya).

During 44 years of serving at PTN Prof. Meity has guided so many students from undergraduate (S1), Masters (S2) and Doctoral (S3). This year Prof. Meity will undergo her retirement period, this video contains an expression of gratitude from the students under Prof. Meity
