PTN Webinar 06: The Role of Insect Pathogens in Plant Protection

"Nucleopolyhdrovirus is an insect virus from the family Baculoviridae. The name Baculovirus comes from the word baculum which means "stick" because the virus particles are rod-shaped, this virus family only attacks arthropods. Dr. R. Yayi Munara Kusumah said in PTN Webinar 06: The Role of Insect Pathogens in Plant Protection organized by the Department of Plant Protection (PTN), Faculty of Agriculture – IPB University on Saturday, September 4, 2021 via Zoom meeting and broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Plant Protection Department – IPB University.

The expert who was the speaker at the PTN 06 Webinar was an expert in the field of insect pathology, namely Dr. Ir. R. Yayi Munara Kusumah, M.Si is a lecturer at the Department of Plant Protection who presented a material entitled "The Application of NPV in Pest Control". The second speaker was Dr. Ir. Samsudin, M.Si is a researcher at the Research Institute for Industrial Plants and Refreshments as well as an alumni of the Doctoral Program of PS Entomology IPB who presented a material entitled "Use of Insect Pathogenic Fungus to Control Plantation Pests". The third speaker is Dr. Sat Rahayuwati, SP, M.Si who is a lecturer in Agrotechnology – Prima Indonesia University as well as an alumni of the Entomology PS Doctoral Program of IPB who presented a material entitled "Oryctes rhinoceros and Virus their Natural Enemy"
