Monday, 31 July 2023. The Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, received representatives from the Department of Plant Protection, Halu Oleo University with the aim of conducting Benchmarking of the DIECI quality assurance cycle (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control and Improvement) of DIKTI Standards. Representatives from the Department of Plant Protection, Halu Oleo University, led by Prof. Andi Khoeruni and representatives from PTN led by Dr. Dewi Sartiami as Daily Executor of the Head of the Plant Protection Department of IPB University. This meeting was attended by PTN teaching staff including Dr. Pudjianto, Dr. Swastiko Priyambodo, Dr. Efi Toding Tondok, and Dr. Nina Mariana.

Thursday, July 13 2023. The IPB University Professor Council held a webinar series with the theme "Acceleration Strategy, Implementation of Integrated Pest Management Programs in Indonesia". The topic of this first webinar series is the Journey of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program in Indonesia. In this webinar professors from the Plant Protection Department were invited as resource persons, discussants and moderators, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Aunu Rauf, M.Sc (Retirement Professor), Prof. Dr. Ir. Dadang, M.Sc, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermanu Triwidodo, M.Sc and Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Hendrastuti Hidayat, M.Sc. These PTN Professors explain all the things that have been and are being done in the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Indonesia, which are things that are not easy to implement, for more details, please watch this webinar in the video below

Indonesian Entomological Association in collaboration with the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture - IPB University, Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Science (CTSS) - IPB University, Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University, North Sumatra Muhammadiyah University, Medan Area University, North Sumatra University, InaPIN (Indonesia Pollinator Initiative) and also Syngenta Indonesia held an Inaturalist workshop "As a Mapping Media for Pollinator Bee Conservation" which was held in the cities of Bogor, Malang, Yogyakarta and Medan with participants from university students who were partners in this workshop. This workshop activity is held four times from 2022 to 2023. The purpose of holding this workshop is to map pollinator bees as well as for conservation using the Inaturalist application where this application is a social network of naturalists, citizen scientists, and biologists built with the concept of mapping and sharing observations of biodiversity around the world.
